Well the kids had a blast at Halloween this year, Lee was a clone trooper from Star Wars, and Lauren was a princess. They had so much fun trick or treating!!

Utah Trip

Well, we have officially taken our first family vacation. I have to say, it was a little harder than I thought traveling with the kids, them being so young, but we had some good moments and some not so good moments. We got to go and visit Temple Square and see some really neat things, we got to see the Salt Lake Temple which was so awesome. We got to see are awesome family in Utah and have some good visits with them, I wish they lived closer!! Utah is so pretty, we got to escape the heat from Texas it only got up to about 90 during the day if that, and the 50's at night. The last day of our vacation we went boating and Brandon was tubing and cracked his ankle, he kept wanting to go faster and faster and fell out of the tube and thats when it happened, but it is only a minor crack and he should be good to go in about 4 weeks, no surgery, just a boot that he has to wear, I swear he still thinks he is 18 sometimes!! It is nice to be home, probably wont travel with the kids until Lauren is much older but lesson learned and we had some good times! It's good to be back in Texas!

Rain, rain, don't go away!!! We are so grateful for the good rain that we recieved, hopefully we will get some more!

I wanted to change my background in honor of all the veterans who have fought for our country. I am so proud to be an American and so grateful for the freedoms that we have. On another note I finally purchased a digital camera, it is a Cannon, not sure about what kind, etc... I am still trying to figure it all out. So, I will definitely be posting more pictures.

So every year they have this fundraiser at Willow City to raise money for the volunteer fire department. Its been a while since I have been, but decided to go this year and the kids had so much fun, they got to see this helicoptor land and then take off, they were in amazment.

Potty Training advice please!!!

So, Lee is almost potty trained, I say almost because he will pee in the toilet, but he refuses to poop in the toilet, and I am getting a little frustrated. I have tried not putting a pull up on him, then he just holds it and becomes constipated and makes himself sick, so I am just out of ideas, I have tried bribing him, you name it, I have tried it. I am scared he will go to school and I will have to come up and put a pull up on him so that he can poop.... so any advice is welcome....

As most of you know, I teach pre-k. This is a picture of my kids at nap time. Now that it is May, I can officially start my countdown until summer. The wonderful thing about teaching is summer break!!! I'm so excited because this year we are going to take a family vacation to Utah and get to go and visit some family and do some sightseeing. It is long due, we haven't had a vacation since we have been married, I have to say I am a little nervous about flying with the kids but I guess you just have to take the plunge and go with it. So if any of you have any suggestions on how to fly with the kids please advise, my sister says that Benadryl is really good.....
